I have known Evia for about three years now and I have watched her go from age 8 to age 11. She truly is a flower blossoming. As an 'only' child she has always been a little adult, but now she truly is a young lady that knows her place in the world. These quick sculptures really do underline that time is so fleeting, a reminder that this sculpture could only be made with her, at this very moment. The next time I see Evia she will be twelve and something more with be in place of the child I once knew.
