I remember the first time my daughter brought her instrument home from school. I endured hours of screeches and squeaks. But she remained solid in her belief that practice would make perfect. Never did I anticipate the transformation into the elegant musician that evolved. The first time I saw her perform, the reward of her hard work and dedication paid off, in the currency of joy and self-pride. Witnessing the genius of a child's belief in themselves is one of the most precious things in life.
